Individual is for one person using the software on their own. You buy, you use it on up to 2 devices at the same time.

You need Company as soon as any one of these is true:

• More than one person uses it (team setup with pool management)
• Your annual revenue from work created with the product exceeds USD 200,000 (see the product EULA)
• You need offline licenses for isolated workstations or studio security setups

The feature set is identical. Company additionally offers pool management, an additional manager role, offline licenses, and priority support (within 1 business day instead of within 3 business days).

Perpetual is a one time purchase. Includes 12 months of updates. After that the frozen version remains usable for life. You can purchase maintenance again later if you want updates again.

Subscription is billed yearly. Always the latest version. Cancel any time.

Maintenance is an extension for an existing perpetual license. Extends the update window by another 12 months without changing the underlying license.

Yes. Each seat allows 2 devices at the same time. If you want to work on a third device, you free one of the existing devices in the account portal or directly in the app, and the slot becomes available immediately. Freeing a device is limited to once every 7 days per license or Company seat to prevent abuse. Support can approve additional changes in exceptional cases such as hardware failure or theft.

You keep the software but stop receiving updates from the expiry date. The frozen version (the version at the time of expiry) remains usable for life. If you later want updates again, simply purchase maintenance again. Renewal restores access to all updates released in the meantime, retroactively.

Yes. Cancel in the customer portal. The license stays fully active until the end of the current period, then expires. You can withdraw the cancellation any time before the period end.

Every license keeps working offline for up to 14 days between online license checks. Company seats can additionally be set up with offline licenses for air gapped workstations, studio security setups or unreliable connections: activation runs once online, then the software works offline for a configured period. Offline licenses are not available on the Individual tier.

One license for all four BiteTheBytes products, as Individual or Company, as a perpetual license or a yearly subscription, at less than the combined price of the single products. If you already own Individual Perpetual licenses, Complete your Suite credits them toward the Suite price.

Licenses are for your own use. A license belongs to the person or company that bought it, and you may not rent, lease, lend or sublicense it to others. Where the law lets you pass on a perpetual license, for example under the EU rules on used software, that right remains unaffected: contact support and we will move the license to the new owner's account, and the previous owner stops using the software.

Approved resellers can distribute new licenses. If you want to distribute BiteTheBytes licenses commercially, apply to our reseller channel. After approval you get a 15 percent partner discount on Perpetual licenses and access to a procurement portal where you can place bulk orders and receive product keys that your end customers redeem in their BiteTheBytes account.
